The Ramsey Rams football team is heading into this week with momentum and focus after an exciting 27–21 win over Lakeland, which extended their winning streak to five games. The Rams fought hard on both sides of the ball, staying composed during key moments and showing the kind of teamwork and effort that has made them one of the top teams in the area this season. Every player contributed to the victory, and the team continues to build confidence as the season goes on.
Friday’s win was especially memorable because it included several major milestones for some of Ramsey’s senior players. Quarterback Justus Favata reached an impressive 3,500 career passing yards, marking a big moment in his high school career. Wide receivers Joey Korcak and Roberto Cotes also hit 1,000 career receiving yards each an incredible achievement for two players who have been key parts of Ramsey’s offense. These accomplishments show how well the team works together and how strong their chemistry is on the field.
Now, the Rams turn their attention to this week’s home game against the Westwood Cardinals, which will take place on Friday, October 17, at Ramsey’s home field. This matchup is expected to be one of the most competitive games of the season. Both teams are coming in with strong records and plenty of motivation, which should make for an exciting night of football. The Rams will be looking to keep their winning streak alive and defend their home field in front of a big crowd.

This week’s game will also feature RJFA Night at RHS, an event that celebrates the athletes of the Ramsey Junior Football Association. Younger players will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the sport, and it’s a great opportunity for them to experience the energy of a high school game. The night is all about bringing the Ramsey football community together from the youth level all the way to varsity. Arrivals for RJFA athletes begin at 6:00 p.m., and kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
On top of that, Friday will be a White Out, and all students and fans are encouraged to wear white to show their school spirit and support the Rams. With the team on a five-game winning streak and the crowd expected to pack the stands, the atmosphere at Ramsey Highschool should be electric. The White Out has always been one of the most energetic games of the season, and this year should be no different.
As the Rams prepare for Westwood, their focus remains on staying disciplined, communicating well, and continuing to play with the same intensity that’s brought them success so far. With a strong group of seniors leading the way and a supportive community behind them, Ramsey is ready to take on the challenge and hopefully push their winning streak to six.
