On Friday, September 19th, 2025, the Ramsey Field Hockey team all came together to honor something bigger than themselves. The goal of this event was to collect Halloween costume donations for the children at Hackensack Children’s Hospital. During this event, the Field Hockey team not only held a bake sale, but they raised an incredible amount of $1,234! However, this was not the team’s first year helping to raise awareness for this wonderful foundation. Thanks to senior captain Reese Connell, Ramsey’s field hockey team has done this event for the past three years! Reese’s hard work and dedication is what helped make this event so special! For those who are not familiar with the Tommy Strong Foundation, the Tommy Strong Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to build the medical community in the effort to find a cure for childhood cancer. The Tommy Strong Foundation holds numerous events throughout the year such as an annual baseball game for the graduating class of 2031, many collaborations with various Ramsey High School sports teams, and multiple fundraisers and donation events to give back to childhood cancer patients.

In addition, the Ramsey School District holds an Annual Tommy Strong day where all are asked to honor Tommy’s legacy by wearing turquoise and gold. To learn more about how YOU can make a difference, visit tommystrong.org.
